Sakura Market Bag
Hi yarn enthusiasts,
When I went looking on Pinterest for a market bag pattern, this one caught my eye straight away. The open basket weave of the pattern means it has lots of stretch and it has a gorgeous feminine pattern on the bottom and large open handles.
One of the best things about this bag is the amount of yarn it requires. You only need one 100g cake. I used my own solid green cotton (you can purchase your own here) for the bottom to really help accentuate the detailed pattern, then I used my green speckle yarn (you can purchase that here) for the main part of the bag.
This pattern worked up so quickly. I had this bag ready to go in a matter of hours. once you get past the intricate bottom, the pattern is perfect for those who like to crochet while watching tv or listening to a podcast. It was so relaxing and repetitive.
This pattern is written by K.A.M.E Crochet and can be found on her website here.
